Musica Nova proposes master classes for music students and choirmasters in conservatoires and music schools, in order to initiate them into the repertoires of the fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
We aim to ignite the aspirations of young singers, through the transmission of practical and theoretical knowledge and through emphasis upon the reading of original manuscript sources. In this way, the student has the opportunity to engage with repertoires that are rarely practised in musical education.
We are equally open to the possibility of teaching music educators, for example in choral chant, to enrich and widen their teaching practice.
Musica Nova has given master classes at CRR Caen, Metz and Renne, the Conservatoires of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Royaumont Abbey (as part of a regular residency) and at the Centre Broegg de Spello (Spain).
